Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the CrewCall platform at crewcallhq.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Description of Service

CrewCall is a storm workforce management SaaS platform operated by CrewCall LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. The platform enables utility contractors to manage storm callouts, send SMS blast notifications to their workforce, build crew rosters, and export timesheets and roster documents.

SMS Messaging Program

CrewCall provides SMS messaging functionality to utility contractors so they can communicate with their own workforce (utility linemen) for storm callout and workforce management purposes. CrewCall operates as a service provider — the contractor is responsible for obtaining proper consent from each lineman before adding them to the platform.

Who receives SMS messages

Only individuals (utility linemen, foremen, equipment operators, and related field personnel) who have provided explicit prior consent to their employer or contractor to receive work-related SMS communications. See How Linemen Opt In for the full consent flow.

Types of messages sent

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on storm activity. During an active storm response, recipients may receive multiple messages per day. During quiet periods, recipients may receive no messages for weeks or months.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply based on the recipient's mobile carrier plan. CrewCall does not charge recipients for messages.

Opting out

Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any CrewCall message. Upon receiving a STOP reply, CrewCall:

  1. Immediately removes the recipient from all active and future SMS communications
  2. Sends a single confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out
  3. Notifies the contractor that the lineman has opted out

Help

Recipients can reply HELP at any time to receive contact information for support. They can also email support@crewcallhq.org directly.

Contractor Responsibilities

Every contractor using CrewCall agrees to and is bound by the following requirements regarding SMS communications:

  1. Written consent required. Contractors must collect explicit written consent (signed paper form, signed digital form, or recorded verbal consent) from each lineman before entering their phone number into the CrewCall platform.
  2. Consent records retained. Contractors must retain proof of consent for each lineman for the entire duration the lineman's number is in CrewCall, plus three years after removal.
  3. Purpose limitation. Contractors may only send messages related to legitimate storm workforce management — callouts, roster updates, yard assignments, and direct work-related communication. Marketing, promotional, political, or unrelated messaging is strictly prohibited.
  4. No third-party sharing. Contractors may not share lineman phone numbers with third parties, other contractors, or use them for any purpose outside CrewCall.
  5. Honor opt-outs. When a lineman opts out via STOP, the contractor must respect that choice and may not re-add the lineman without obtaining fresh, explicit written consent.
  6. Compliance with law. Contractors must comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA messaging guidelines, and all other applicable laws regarding SMS communications.
  7. No unsolicited messaging. Contractors may not enter phone numbers obtained from sources other than direct consent (e.g., purchased lists, scraped numbers, contact lists, third-party referrals without consent).

Violation of any of these requirements is grounds for immediate suspension and termination of the contractor's CrewCall account.
